The distance from the base station had an effect, but calves born to cows within a range of 100m to 199m were more likely to have severe cataracts than those further away.

　5G was originally developed by the US Department of Defense assuming electronic warfare against the former Soviet Union during the Cold War era. The problem is that the electromagnetic waves used by 2G, 3G, and 4G, which are now widely used, have been confirmed to have adverse effects on the brain, so what kind of health damage will 5G bring in the future? It goes without saying that urgent investigation and research is needed.

　Compared to conventional 4G, the penetration power of 5G radio waves will be greatly enhanced. Do we really need 5G?

　There is no way that a large amount of electromagnetic waves that fall from outer space will affect the human body. What comes to mind here is asbestos and arsenic pollution. Nowadays, asbestos lawsuits have made it possible to recognize the harmful effects of asbestos on the human body, such as its carcinogenic effects.

　On that point, in 2010, the British insurance company Lloyd's compiled a surprising report. It is a comparison of wireless communication technology and asbestos. Although it was issued nine years ago, it is indeed the world's largest insurance company. The company's risk analysis team has been paying attention to the dangers posed by 5G since then.

　As a result, Lloyd's was requested by a major telecommunications company to underwrite insurance related to the introduction of 5G, but refused all of them. The amount of health damage caused by 5G will be huge, and we have decided that it is not profitable as an insurance business. It seems that it was a really calm response.

　However, in Japan and around the world, the development of base stations for the spread of 5G is progressing steadily. Next year, there is no doubt that the replacement of smartphones will progress at once. However, unfortunately in Japan, the impact of 5G electromagnetic waves on the human body and the natural environment is not considered a problem at all.

　Nowadays, Japanese children and adults are addicted to smartphones. Now is the time to stop and think about whether high-capacity, ultra-high-speed communication services are necessary even at the cost of our health and lives.
