At the docomo shop, "Revival! Mobile phones from those days" Charge your old mobile phone, restart it, and view the data
On September 1st, NTT Docomo launched a free service called “Revival! At that time mobile phone” was started at docomo shops nationwide. Non-docomo users can also use it.
Flow of use Battery pack diagnostic toolIf you bring a mobile phone with a removable battery pack, you can use it free of charge at any time (reservation recommended when visiting the store). Products other than Docomo are also OK.
If you have not used your mobile phone for a long time, the battery pack may be locked and you may not be able to charge it. This is a specification to prevent battery capacity from declining and abnormal heat generation, but if it becomes unchargeable, the saved data will not be visible.
With the new service, you can restore and charge your phone by unlocking it using the battery pack diagnostic tool at the shop, so that you can turn on your mobile phone again. Once the mobile phone has been charged, it can be restarted to view and play back stored photos, videos, emails, voice memos, and other memorable data.
It is also possible to migrate/copy data such as photos that can be viewed to a docomo mobile phone with Android 4.0 or later. You can copy using SD cards, infrared communication, data transfer equipment "DOCOPY" at docomo shops, etc.
Battery packs with specially shaped terminals and models with built-in batteries such as smartphones are not compatible with the battery pack diagnostic tool and cannot be accepted. It cannot be used if the battery pack is swollen, deformed, distorted, damaged, or corroded.
Since the service that was implemented in the Tokai area from July last year was well received, it was expanded nationwide.
